For months now my Galaxy S2 has been telling me I have no room for new apps (or even downloading my email) and I need to clear space. I’ve moved everything I possibly can to the SD card and still, it says there’s no space left.
The issue isn’t the measly few apps I have installed, the issue is logs and dumps that are stored (hidden) on the phone.
I’ve found a way to remove them without rooting/flashing my phone. This worked for me:
- In the phone app, Dial *#9900#
- Select option 2 “Delete dumpstate/logcat” in the menu
And that’s it. My apps space (max 2GB) went from 1.8GB down to 700MB!
