The Bureau of Meterology website has some excellent data on river heights and was an invaluable tool during the flood in Bundy.
I noticed the river height graph for the Burnett River in Bundaberg is no longer availalbe, probably because these readings were taken manually and not by an automatic sensor.
Lucky I still had a browser open at work. The data is no longer availalbe on the BOM site but I wanted to record this for posterity:
Dude, are you ok?? Just saw that Brisbane’s been partially evacuated http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-pacific-12158608
Well thank you for recording it for posterity. I was looking for info to find out how quick the 2010/11 flood fell to get an idea of how quick this one might fall. This is the only place I could find this chart. Thanks again.
That’s OK, I thought one day it would be nice to keep recorded, but not for this reason. 🙁
If you are interested, I’m using that screenshot to create a comparison overlay with the current data here: /bundyfloods/overlay.jpg
